Nick Aldis will defend the NWA World title against Aron Stevens in the main event of this Sunday’s NWA Back For The Attack pay-per-view.
NWA owner Billy Corgan announced the news Sunday, saying he made the match to honor Stevens’ tag team partner Joseph Hudson (aka Question Mark) who passed away unexpectedly in February.
Aldis will be looking for yet another title defense in this latest reign that started in October 2018 with a win over Cody Rhodes at the NWA’s 70th anniversary show. This will be just his second match of 2021 while Stevens hasn’t worked a match since last November when he and JR Kratos won the NWA Tag Team titles on a UWN show.
The live Back For The Attack event on Fite.tv will be the NWA’s first show since having to suspend operations due to the pandemic. Thus far, only Jordan Clearwater and Slice Boogie vs. Crimson and Jax Dane has been announced in addition to the debuts of Chris Adonis (the former Chris Masters) and Tyrus.
