As we noted in our ongoing coverage of the Superstar Shakeup, the “Modern Day Maharaja” Jinder Mahal has been officially traded to Monday Night RAW alongside the Singh Brothers. Of course, that means that at least temporarily – and we’ll see how things play out as the Shakeup concludes on Smackdown Live tomorrow night – the United States Championship now resides on the red brand.
Unfortunately for Jinder, WWE Hall of Famer and General Manager Kurt Angle immediately booked him in a title match upon arriving on RAW against none other than the “Charismatic Enigma” Jeff Hardy. In a somewhat shocking turn of events, the recently returned Brother Nero was able to connect with a Twist of Fate and his signature Swanton Bomb to pick up the victory and become the new U.S. Champion.
