Don Callis no longer in VP role with Impact Wrestling, Anthem Sports

“The Invisible Hand” no longer has vice president on his business card as Don Callis’ days as an executive with Impact Wrestling and parent company Anthem Sports & Entertainment have come to an end.

Fightful first confirmed the news with PW Insider adding additional details.

Callis’ time as an executive was done in April as he has been slowly decreasing his responsibilities over the last year with Scott D’Amore, Tommy Dreamer, Jimmy Jacobs and RD Evans now making up the creative team.

The 57-year-old was named co-vice president in December 2017 and also was on the commentary team before he was replaced by Madison Rayne.

While the specific reasons for his departure and decision making process are unknown, it was reported that both sides are on good terms and that he will remain by Impact World Champion Kenny Omega’s side as he has done since last December when Omega first won the AEW World title. Callis will also remain with the Good Brothers.

Fightful noted Omega and Callis were only present at the first day of the most recent four day set of tapings, leaving after their work was completed.

PW Insider added that the expectation is Callis will eventually get a full-time job with AEW.
