Farmer Invested Rs 2 Lakh To Produce 2,657 Kg Of Onion Crop, Earns Only Rs 6 & Sends It To CM Fadnavis

Farmers in India are reeling under the poorest conditions. They are investing lakhs in crops and are literally earning only pennies. Protests have been going on in the national capital and Maharashtra as farmers threatened to commit suicide if the government doesn’t listen to their demands.

However, so far their cries have fallen on deaf ears.

A farmer from Maharashtra registered his protest against farm crisis by sending Rs six to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He produced 2,657 kilograms of onion but only earned Rs Six.

The farmer Shreyas Abhale told PTI Sunday that after selling 2,657 kg onions at the rate of Rs 1 per kg at the Sangamner wholesale market in the district and adjusting market expenses, he was left with only Rs 6.
