John Cena has found a path to WrestleMania — and it involves the Undertaker.
After weeks of speculation, Cena challenged the Undertaker tonight during Monday Night Raw. At first, he seemed to accept that he had no path to WrestleMania, and would instead be sitting in the crowd just like everyone else. He even went into the crowd during the promo and took a sip of someone’s beer. He came back to the ring, however, and said that he wasn’t supposed to do this, but he issued a challenge to the Undertaker.
Cena had made several attempts this year to get into both the Universal and WWE title matches at WrestleMania. After losing at the Royal Rumble, he tried to win a Universal title match inside the Elimination Chamber, but failed to do so. His latest attempt was last night at Fastlane, competinging in a six pack challenge for the WWE title. He again came up short, with AJ Styles retaining the title.
