Kenny Omega set for six-man tag match at Impact Under Siege

It didn’t take long for Impact Wrestling to set the stage for May 15th’s Under Siege on Impact Plus, announcing the main event and a pair of matches with either title implications or a title on the line.

Following them disrupting the main event of Thursday’s show, Impact World Champion Kenny Omega and the Good Brothers will face Tag Team Champions FinJuice and Eddie Edwards. Edwards and Sami Callihan were battling for a spot in a no. 1 contender qualifier at Under Siege before Omega, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson ran out and attacked both men, causing a no contest. FinJuice then ran out for the save, but were overwhelmed by the heels.

Also at Under Siege, the next contender to Omega will be decided in a six-way eliminator match.

On Thursday, Scott D’Amore announced that Rich Swann didn’t have a rematch clause in his contract and wouldn’t be getting an immediate shot at Omega. He then announced a six-way for Under Siege that will determine Omega’s next challenger, populated by a series of qualifying matches over two weeks.

Three of those matches happened Thursday as former X-Division Champion Chris Bey defeated Jake Something and Matt Cardona beat Brian Myers to advance. In the other qualifier featuring former World champions, Edwards and Callihan then went to the aforementioned no contest, leaving a spot open as of now.

Next week’s qualifiers will see Rohit Raju against Trey Miguel; Rhino going one-on-one with Chris Sabin, and Moose making his return to in-ring action against James Storm.

Additionally, a Knockouts Tag Team title rematch will take place at Under Siege as Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering will defend against former champions Fire N’ Flava (Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz).
