It’s no secret that Kylie Jenner has had procedures to enhance her lips, but up until this week, we didn’t know why. Now, the reality TV star is opening up about the thought process that led her to get lip fillers, and it all started when she was only 15 years old.
On Sunday’s episode of Life of Kylie, Jenner said that her desire for bigger lips began after she kissed a boy.

“I was 15 and I was insecure about my lips,” she said. “I have really small lips. And it was like one of my first kisses and a guy was like, ‘I didn’t think you would be a good kisser because you have such small lips.’ But I took that really hard. Just when a guy you like says that, I don’t know, it just really affected me. I just didn’t feel desirable or pretty.”

Deciding to get a cosmetic procedure wasn’t the first tactic Jenner tried to get fuller lips, but it’s one that she ended up settling on.
“I really wanted bigger lips. I would overline my lips with lip liner just to create the illusion of bigger lips,” she admitted. “And then finally I was like this lip liner isn’t doing it. [I] ended up getting my lips done.”
