The quarterfinals of the Cruiserweight Championship tournament kicked off last night on 205 Live as Roderick Strong defeated Kalisto and Cedric Alexander defeated TJP to advance to the semi-finals. Cedric Alexander will now take on Roderick Strong in the semi-finals. The quarterfinals will wrap up next Tuesday night as Mark Andrews will take on Drew Gulak and Buddy Murphy will take on Mustafa Ali. The winners of those matches will then face in the semi-finals. The winners of the two semi-final matches will then face off at WrestleMania 34 for the vacant WWE Cruiserweight Title.
After 205 Live went off the air, General Manager Drake Maverick took to Twitter and wrote the following on last night and next week’s matches:
