Bobby Roode announced on last night’s episode of SmackDown Live that he will be cashing in his rematch for the United States Title at WrestleMania 34. Roode just lost the title to Orton last Sunday at WWE Fastlane. There has been some speculation that Jinder Mahal will be added to the match to make it a Triple Threat Match as he defeated both Orton & Roode in separate occasion over the past two weeks.
Also during last night’s episode of SmackDown Live, Shane McMahon announced that he would be taking an indefinite leave of absence as SmackDown Commissioner. He then announced Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens for WrestleMania 34 as his final act of business before taking the leave. It is believed that Shane will add himself to the match to make it a Triple Threat Match or it will be Shane vs both Sami & Owens in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match. SmackDown ended with Sami and Owens teaming up to destroy Shane in the ring and backstage.
Also during last night’s episode of 205 Live, Cedric Alexander defeated Roderick Strong to advance to the finals of the Cruiserweight Championship Tournament to be held at WrestleMania. He will take on the winner of next week’s semifinal match between Mustafa Ali & Drew Gulak.
