Olivia Rubin to show at Pure

Up and coming British designer Olivia Rubin will be presenting her Spring Summer 2010 collection at Pure London this August.

The Central Saint Martins graduate previously worked in the ateliers of John Galliano and Alexander McQueen and Pure will showcase her first off-schedule fashion show.

Olivia Rubin’s London Fashion Week debut in February featured angular prints on luxe jersey, satin and silk, being one of the ‘stand out’ collections. She is set to have the same impact this season at Pure London. ‘‘SS10 is a fresh and vibrant collection of versatile dresses. Drawing reference from the expressionist movement, prints are painterly and bold, with splashes of blue contrasted against washes of neutral tones and pencil ‘scribble’ prints.’’ Comments Rubin.

The collection has a romantic feel which is highlighted by sophisticated shapes, with an injection of deep pinks creating a feminine yet modern edge that Olivia Rubin has become famous for.

Olivia Rubin’s list of celebrity admirers include Lily Allen, Fern Cotton, Agyness Deyn, Kelly Osbourne, Nadine Coyle, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Cheryl Cole, who made the infamous asymmetric zebra print dress fly off the shelves!

‘‘I believe that Pure London is a great opportunity for the Olivia Rubin label to expand. Pure London is renowned for attracting an array of buyers and press from all over the UK and this will give the brand great exposure to a variety of new clients. I’m really excited about the prospect of exhibiting at the show for the first time.’’ Rubin added.

Pure London will be taking place 2-4 August 2009 at London Olympia.
