The Boss Breaks Her Slump in Brooklyn, Claims Raw Women’s Belt

Sasha Banks and Brooklyn have not been a good pairing for The Boss over the course of her career, but she finally broke her slump with a victory over Alexa Bliss to claim the Raw Women’s Championship on Sunday at SummerSlam.
While things with Bliss probably aren’t completely settled, it’s fun to imagine some high-profile title matches coming up with Banks and Nia Jax, who have turned in some strong matches in the past few months. It’s no doubt Banks’ title reign was a last-minute switcheroo for WWE since injury kept Bayley, the initial No.1 contender to Bliss, from competing at SummerSlam, but in the short term this could set up some entertaining matches between Banks, Bliss and Jax. In the long term, this could set up the anticipated twist of having Bayley and Banks turn on each other.
