After three weeks of stiff competition featuring some of the most excellent matches of the year, the 2018 Best of the Super Juniors tournament came to a head this morning in Tokyo, Japan with eight huge matches to determine the finalists of this year’s competition.
For the first time ever, the Super Juniors will come down Bullet Club’s newest member, “Bone Soldier” Taiji Ishimori representing the A Block, and the absurd enigma from Los Ingobernables de Japon, Hiromu Takahashi representing the B Block. This will be the first time either man has made it to the tournament finals, and tonight/tomorrow morning at Korakuen Hall, they will battle for the right to challenge for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship at NJPW Dominion.
The Super Juniors finals kicks off in the U.S. at 5:30 a.m. EDT live on New Japan World, featuring English commentary from the illustrious Kevin Kelly. We will provide complete live coverage of the entire show from start to finish. If you need to catch up on the tournament you can check our RESULTS tab in the menu bar above for complete results for every single night of the competition.
As for the match card, other than the main event it will likely end up being a mystery show, with the matches not announced until bell time. We also expect that the final card for NJPW Dominion will either be announced at this show, or at some point during Monday afternoon.
