Velveteen Dream Moving Up Soon? Royal Rumble Plans, MSG ROH Date

One of the most impressive roster members in NXT at the moment is The Velveteen Dream. At such a young age, The Velveteen Dream has already become a fan-favorite in NXT due to his outstanding matches against the likes of Aleister Black and Ricochet. Even John Cena has cited him as having the potential to be a world champion someday in WWE. It appears that WWE has recognized The Velveteen Dream’s talents and are planning to call him up to the main WWE roster very soon. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Dream was scheduled to join the main roster after WrestleMania 34, but he could be on his way there now. The Velveteen Dream even hinted that “the dream is over” after his match at Takeover on Saturday.

WWE just wrapped up their Money in the Bank pay-per-view, and they are now working on their next major events, which include the SummerSlam show in August and the Super Show-Down in Australia later this year. WWE typically tries to go all out for their ‘big 5’ pay-per-views each year, and apparently the 2019 Royal Rumble will be no different. According to a new report from Bodyslam.net, WWE is going to go out of their way to make the upcoming Royal Rumble pay-per-view an important show since they reportedly consider the state of Arizona to be a great market for them. The Royal Rumble will be held in the massive Chase Field stadium in Phoenix, Arizona on January 27th, 2019.

Madison Square Garden, an arena that has typically exclusively held WWE events over the years, may be hosting a Ring of Honor show for the first time ever within the next few months. The promotion has reportedly been planning an event in The Garden ever since Cody Rhodes was able to successfully sell over 10,000 tickets for All In earlier this year. A date now appears to have been selected for the show. According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Ring of Honor will be coming to Madison Square Garden on April 6th next year. Given that the show will reportedly be taking place during WrestleMania weekend, this may be the perfect time for ROH to schedule such an ambitious event.
