Vickie Guerrero has officially signed with AEW, revealed in an interview with FanSided.
AEW established her as a regular character when she was revealed as Nyla Rose’s new manager on July 15th’s Fight for the Fallen.
Prior to that, her first AEW appearance came in December 2019 when she appeared as a guest commentator on an episode of Dark.
Guerrero would go on to make several additional cameos as an audience member and as a cheerleader for The Inner Circle’s pep rally on the May 27th Dynamite.
She said that mutual friends in AEW discussed having her potentially be involved. She fell in love with the company and had no hesitation in signing a deal.
Guerrero debuted as an occasional performer in 2005 with WWE and was involved in the Rey Mysterio/Eddie Guerrero feud that which culminated in a SummerSlam ladder match where the winner would gain custody of Mysterio’s son, Dominick.
She became a regular character in 2007 and began a years-long stint as the general manager of SmackDown and began an on-screen relationship with Edge. Over the next seven years, she served as a general manager on both Raw and SmackDown and as a manager for a variety of acts including Dolph Ziggler and LayCool.
She retired in 2014, stating a desire to work outside the industry and returned a handful of times to WWE TV over the subsequent years for one-off appearances.
