Video: ‘McLaren: The Film’ – coming soon

A documentary on the extraordinary life and times of motor racing legend and pioneer Bruce McLaren will soon hitting the big screen.

The inspirational story of the founder of McLaren, a man whose passion and tenacity made him such an emblematic figure, has been put on film by acclaimed director Roger Donaldson (Thirteen Days, The World’s Fastest Indian) and is set for a release later this year.

The film features contributions from Emerson Fittipaldi, Alastair Caldwell, Chris Amon, Howden Ganley, Mario Andretti, Dan Gurney  and Sir Jackie Stewart, and unprecedented access to the McLaren family and archives.

The story of New Zealands favourite son, the father of one of motorsport’s most famous racing empires is a tale of outstanding commitment and drive, and one which should not be missed.

A short trailer of the film offers a glimpse of what looks like a must-see movie for any McLaren or motorsport fan.
