WWE is hyping the fact that Heath Slater will finally sign a contract to officially join the “blue brand” on Tuesday night’s post-Backlash edition of SmackDown Live.
Slater earned the right to officially join the SmackDown Live roster as a contracted performer by winning at the Backlash pay-per-view on Sunday night. He and his tag-team partner Rhyno were the last two man standing following the SmackDown Tag-Team Title Tournament, making the duo the first-ever brand-exclusive tag-team champions for SmackDown Live.
WWE.com reported the following on Monday evening regarding Heath Slater’s contract signing tomorrow night:
Heath Slater’s wife, Beulah, and their seven kids were rocking in the single-wide this past Sunday when Slater & Rhyno defeated The Usos to become the first SmackDown Tag Team Champions at Backlash. The victory not only positioned the odd couple as the duo to beat on Team Blue, but also finally secured Slater a SmackDown LIVE contract — a contract The One Man Band will sign this Tuesday night!
The fallout from Sunday’s WWE Backlash pay-per-view goes down live on this week’s post-PPV edition of SmackDown Live. The show emanates from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Tuesday night, September 13th. Join us here on Tuesday night for live coverage of this week’s SmackDown Live.
