On Tuesday, NBC Sports published a new interview with Bill Goldberg where he revealed that he “tweaked his shoulder” during Monday night’s in-ring segment with Brock Lesnar on WWE RAW.
“My body feels horrible,” said Goldberg when talking about his physical condition at almost 50 years of age heading into his first WWE match in 12 years. “I tweaked my shoulder last night, but that doesn’t mean in five days that I’m not going to come out kicking ass and taking names like I always do.”
Goldberg made it clear in the same interview that as far as things stand right now, this will be the last time wrestling fans will have the opportunity to watch him perform live inside the squared circle.
He also spoke about slipping during a physical in-ring segment on RAW with Rusev. When asked if that was a sign that his body is telling him it’s time to take it easy, Goldberg replied, “Oh God yes. Absolutely.”
Bill Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar takes place in a special featured attraction match at this Sunday’s WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view, which goes down live from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Join us here on Sunday evening for live results coverage of the show.
