The UFC appears to be going down the three title fight pay-per-view path once again.
Thursday reports have bantamweight champion Petr Yan vs. Aljamain Sterling rumored to be added to March’s UFC 259, joining middleweight champion Israel Adesanya vs. light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz and featherweight champion Amanda Nunes vs. Megan Anderson.
MMA Junkie reported contracts have been issued to both men who were originally supposed to fight in December. However, the fight was postponed by Yan due to undisclosed reasons.
The venue and location for the event has yet to be announced.
The show will also feature the return of former bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz vs. Casey Kenney, former light heavyweight title contender Thiago Santos vs. rising contender Aleksander Rakic, former flyweight title contender Joseph Benavidez vs. Askar Askarov, Drew Dober vs. Islam Makhachev, and more.
The UFC last held a three title fight pay-per-view with July’s UFC 251. The card featured welterweight champion Kamaru Usman vs. Jorge Masvidal, featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski vs. Max Holloway II, and Yan vs. Jose Also for the vacant bantamweight title.
