The “prophecy” of the Undisputed Era has finally been fulfilled, as Roderick Strong defeated the Velveteen Dream in the main event of WWE NXT’s first ever main event on the USA Network, becoming the brand new NXT North American Champion!
While Strong wasn’t originally able to get the job done one-on-one last month at NXT Takeover: Toronto, this time around he had a huge assist from the other three members of his faction, as Adam Cole connected with a superkick heard ’round the world, opening the door for the so-called “Messiah of the Backbreaker” to deliver End of Heartache for the win.
Strong adds the NXT North American Championship to the Undisputed Era’s gallery of gold, as leader Adam Cole currently holds the coveted NXT Championship, and the long-running duo of Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish currently possess the NXT Tag Team Championships.
