Matt Hardy spoke tonight on AEW Dynamite, giving an update on his condition following All Out.
Hardy said that he took a scary fall and was grateful for the amazing outpouring of love and support from the fans. After testing, he said, he is expected to make a full recovery.
He said that while he may be the dumbest man alive, he’s also the luckiest, pointing to his wife Reby in the crowd, who was with their youngest son. He ended up apologizing to fans for the match at All Out and guessed that maybe it was for the best his feud with Sammy Guevara was over, because if it had continued, someone may have gotten seriously hurt.
Hardy promised that once he’s cleared, he will get ranked and get his first AEW title.
At All Out last weekend, Matt Hardy fell off a ladder during his Broken Rules match against Sammy Guevara and laded on the concrete, hitting his head. He was briefly knocked out as the match was stopped and Hardy was checked on.
According to Tony Khan in a media scrum following All Out, AEW’s doctor Michael Sampson cleared Hardy, who attacked Guevara and finished the match after Hardy pushed Guevara off a scaffold and onto a nearby platform.
