– WWE’s plans for the Cruiserweight division include experimenting in January and February with live events. After that time, the company will evaluate whether the shows are profitable and whether to continue to have it as a weekly touring brand.
– WWE tried to do this once before with ECW several years ago, but it did not go over well. With the cruiserweights, it makes sense since most of the talent only work Monday and Tuesday and have the rest of the week off. Also, in today’s time, WWE is able to charge way more for ticket prices since fans are used to it.
– The other idea is to have Enzo Amore and Hideo Itami anchor the shows and there are also discussions to possibly include NXT wrestlers on the undercard or to try out some new cruiserweights.
