9-YO Girl Killed In Landslide, 700 Evacuated As Heavy Snowfall Throws Life Out Of Gear In J&K

Heavy snowfall and onset of the chilling winter season have left many stranded in the valley of Jammu and Kashmir. The police have evacuated close to 700 people in the last one day from Jawahar tunnel and Sonmarg, ANI reported.

Close to a thousand people of Banihal were also provided with food and basic amenities by the police and civic administration. Rescue teams have also been deployed in the snowfall-hit areas. 300 out of the total rescued were shifted to Qazigund in Anantnag district, 300 to Banihal and the remaining to Central Reserve Police Force establishments.
