AEW announces 'Winter is Coming' event for December 2nd Dynamite

On Wednesday’s edition of Dynamite, AEW announced that the December 2nd edition of the show will be called “Winter is Coming”.

The show will be headlined by World Champion Jon Moxley defending his title against Kenny Omega in a rematch from Full Gear 2019 where Moxley beat Omega in an unsanctioned lights out match.

The two were set to have a contract signing Wednesday, but Moxley was shown laid out in the back bloodied up while Omega waited for him in the ring, showing no remorse.

Omega became the number one contender after winning the recent World title eliminator tournament. He defeated Sonny Kiss and Penta El Zero M to advance to the finals at Full Gear where he defeated former tag team partner Hangman Page to earn the title shot.

Moxley has held the title since February’s Revolution when he beat Chris Jericho for the championship. Jericho and Moxley remain the only two to ever hold the title.

No other matches were announced for the December 2nd show.
