Colt Cabana and CM Punk were as thick as thieves for the longest time. The two spent time together on the independent wrestling circuit and remained close friends for years. That all reportedly came to an end when it was reported that Colt Cabana visited some friends at a WWE show, which CM Punk thought could jeopardize their chances at winning a lawsuit filed against them by WWE doctor Chris Amann. During an appearance on Busted Open Radio, Cabana commented on the status of their friendship by saying “we’re… we’re what we are, you know? Yes. Of course we are.” Cabana says that he and Punk are indeed still friends. Colt also noted that CM Punk has no desire to return to wrestling any time soon.
The Money in the Bank pay-per-view will be taking place this Sunday night in Chicago Illinois, and the event will feature several high-profile matches. With a Last Man Standing WWE Championship match between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura, a Raw Women’s Championship match between Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey, and the two Money in the Bank ladder matches themselves, it makes sense for one of the undercard matches to get bumped to the Kickoff show. Sure enough, it was just confirmed by WWE that the Smackdown Tag Team Championship match between The Bludgeon Brothers and Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson will now take place on the Kickoff show before Money in the Bank at 6pm ET this Sunday.

Action continues to heat up over on the 205 Live brand, and during last night’s edition of the show, it was confirmed that three of the most talented athletes in the cruiserweight division will be squaring off against each other in the main event. At the end of this week’s episode of 205 Live, General Manager Drake Maverick confirmed that a huge Triple Threat match will headlined the show next Tuesday night. Buddy Murphy, Mustafa Ali, and Hideo Itami will all be facing each other for the first time ever during next week’s installment of the cruiserweight-exclusive series. 205 Live returns next Tuesday night at 10pm ET on the WWE Network right after Smackdown goes off the air.
It’s what they want…
