As noted, UFC star Cain Velasquez, along with Daniel Cormier, Joseph Benavidez, Michael Chiesa, Travis Browne, Megan Olivi, were all show on camera during WWE Elimination Chamber last week in Las Vegas.
TMZ recently spoke with Daniel Cormier, who was asked about Cain Velasquez “calling out” Brock Lesnar after Elimination Chamber, but Cormier says Velasquez was not issuing a real challenge, but rather was just having some fun with Lesnar on social media.
“[Cain] was just having a good time,” said Cormier. “He was very complimentary of Brock Lesnar, he enjoyed the show. It’s the first time he’s ever been, so he was really just kind of feeling the energy, feeling the excitement, and he Tweeted that. Cain’s a fun guy.”
As noted, while the UFC talents were reportedly comped great seats to Elimination Chamber, the WWE website and social media teams were specifically told not to mention or hype the UFC star presence at the PPV, due to Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn’s feelings on UFC potentially being competition for WWE.
