While Thousands Are Denied Jobs, 29-Year-Old Creates Portal For Transgenders To Provide Them Work

In April 2014, in a landmark judgement, the Supreme Court of India allotted the ‘third gender’ status to transgenders. The judgement was aimed at providing employment opportunities to the socially backward community and also help them in getting admissions in educational institutes.

However, even after SC’s order, there is little respite for members of the community. The Indian mentality still gets frightened even at the sight of a transgender, let alone talking to or helping them.

Now, a 29-year-old software professional has especially designed a job portal for the transgender community to help them acquire jobs in various fields.
