Major Change Made to Smackdown Women’s Title Match at WWE Extreme Rules

Bayley’s night at WWE Extreme Rules just got a whole lot more difficult…

The Smackdown Women’s Champion faced off in a Beat the Clock Challenge against Nikki Cross this week on Monday Night Raw. While Bayley did pick up a victory over Sarah Logan in just over four-and-a-half minutes, she would ultimately lost the Challenge when Cross pinned Dana Brooke in half the time.

As a result, the UK star was able to choose the stipulation for Bayley’s upcoming title defense against Alexa Bliss on Sunday at WWE Extreme Rules, announcing that she would be joining the bout, making it a 2-on-1 handicap match for the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

While this hasn’t been confirmed, the most likely scenario would be that whoever pins the Hugger in the handicap scenario would become the new champion (despite both challengers being on the Raw brand…), but another possible situation could see the title going to Bliss no matter who picks up the win, which might work better given the ongoing story between these three women.

It'll be a 2-On-1 #HandicapMatch at #ExtremeRules, but @itsBayleyWWE wants to knock some sense into @NikkiCrossWWE TONIGHT on #Raw! pic.twitter.com/2rNMxBEKUq
