Chris Jericho has been making waves all over the pro wrestling world recently, following an historical victory over Kenny Omega at last weekend’s inaugural AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view.
Now, as he gears up to challenge the “Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s second biggest event of the year, the 30-year veteran has dropped another piece of huge news.
Jericho appeared on Busted Open Radio with Bully Ray and Dave LaGreca on Thursday morning to discuss his record-breaking podcast episode with Jon Moxley, and confirmed the destination for his upcoming bout against Hangman Page to crown the inaugural AEW World Champion.
According to the future Hall of Famer, who is already a six-time world champ in his own right, the match will be taking place at AEW ALL OUT during Labor Day weekend in Chicago, one year removed from The Elite’s freshmen pay-per-view attempt, ALL IN.
Jericho earned his way into the main event of ALL OUT by defeating Kenny Omega this past weekend, while Hangman Page solidified his championship opportunity by winning the 21-man Casino Battle Royale that took place during the BUY IN pre-show.
